Paramore’s ‘Twilight’ Song ‘Decode’ Premieres On Stephenie Meyer’s Web Site

Band scheduled to shoot a video for the song in mid-October.

Last month, MTV News brought you the exclusive that Paramore would be contributing a pair of songs to the soundtrack of the upcoming “Twilight” film, including the first single from the album, a spiky little slab of vampire lust called “Decode.”

On Wednesday (October 1), “Decode” premiered on “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer’s official Web site, making it the first bit of new music to be heard from the soundtrack. The post on StephenieMeyer.com also says that the soundtrack’s release has been pushed back to November 4, from the previously reported October 28 date. (The movie hits theaters on November 21.)

“The song is about the building tension, awkwardness, anger and confusion between Bella and Edward,” Paramore frontwoman (and “Twilight” fan) Hayley Williams said in a statement. “Bella is the only mind Edward can’t read, and I feel like that’s a big part of the first book and one of the obstacles for them to overcome. It’s one added tension that makes the story even better.”

A source at Atlantic Records (which is releasing the album along with music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas’ label Chop Shop) confirmed to MTV News that Paramore are scheduled to shoot a video for “Decode” sometime around October 13.

Late Tuesday night, Perry Farrell confirmed via press release that he too will have a new song on the soundtrack. “Go All the Way” will feature production work by Nine Inch Nails’ Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder. More details on the soundtrack — including a complete track listing — are expected to be announced on Meyer’s site over the coming days.

Besedilo:

Paramore – Decode

How can I decide what’s right when you’re clouding up my mind
I can’t win your losing fight all the time
How can I ever own what’s mine when you’re always taking sides
But you won’t take away my pride, no not this time
Not this time…

How did we get here
When I used to know you so well
But how did we get here
I think I know

The truth is hiding in your eyes and its hanging on your tongue
Just boiling in my blood but you think that I cant see
What kind of man that you are, if you’re a man at all
Well I will figure this one out on my own

I’m screaming I love you so
My thoughts you can’t decode

How did we get here
when I used to know you so well
But how did we get here
I think I know

Do you see what we’ve done
We’re gonna make such fools of ourselves
Do you see what we’ve done
We’re gonna make such fools of ourselves

How did we get here
when I used to know you so well
But how did we get here
I think I know

There is something I see in you
It might kill me
I want it to be true

‘Twilight’ Soundtrack Gets Brand-New Song From Perry Farrell

Former Jane’s Addiction frontman says ‘Go All the Way’ captures Edward and Bella’s ‘intense emotions.’

With only 51 days remaining until their dream comes true, “Twilight” fans around the world are finally beginning to hear details about the soundtrack that will accompany their beloved film. Now, a big name is joining Stephenie Meyer’s beloved franchise: former Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell.

The Lollapalooza founder has written a brand-new song called “Go All the Way,” which will appear in the eagerly anticipated vampire flick when it hits theaters November 21. Although details are vague, the song is said to be featured “in a crucial scene” that takes place in the movie.

“The song conjures up that adolescent feeling when a young man, who has been pursuing a girl he really likes, finally gets her,” Farrell said about the song in a statement. “It’s about the intense emotions when they go all the way.”

The director of the film, Catherine Hardwicke, is a longtime fan of Jane’s Addiction and Porno for Pyros and approached the 49-year-old alternative-rock legend to create an original song for her adaptation of Meyer’s best-selling novel. “Go All the Way” was produced by Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails) and mixed by Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins), and the track is described as a “tumultuous” mix of dance, rock and alternative music styles.

In addition to appearing in the movie itself, the Farrell song will be featured on the “Twilight” soundtrack scheduled to go on sale October 28. The filmmakers have already confirmed that actor Robert Pattinson will have two songs in the film. Paramore will also contribute two tracks, and Meyer faves Muse will have one as well.

Judging by Farrell’s comments, “Go All the Way” would seem likely to exist during one of the many romantic scenes between Pattinson’s Edward and Kristen Stewart‘s Bella. Additional details about the film’s soundtrack are expected to be announced over the next several days.
